Horizon Health Care Institute (HHCI) opened it's doors on June 1, 1997 as a sole proprietorship. Since that time, we have become a Limited Liability Company owned and operated by the mother-daughter team of Donna Jaime, R.N. and Marcy Werne, R.N.
In June 1997, HHCI received approval from the Arizona State Board of Nursing to conduct a Nursing Assistant training program, and in June 2007, we received approval from the Arizona Department of Health Services to conduct a Caregiver training program.
In December 2007, HHCI was granted conditional licensure by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education to operate as a private, non-accredited vocational school in the State of Arizona. Regular licensure was received in 2008.
In addition, HHCI is an active member of the Arizona Private School Association.
