The purpose of the Nursing Rehab Tech Workshop is to assist nursing assistants in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to work with acutely ill patients and/or residents. Emphasis is placed on post-operative care, working with multiple disease processes, and enhancing the rehabilitative services from a nursing perspective.

Are there any pre-requisites for this course?
Yes. Students enrolled in the NRT program must be certified nursing assistants, or have successfully completed a nursing assistant training program within the last 24 months.

Yes. Students enrolled in the NRT program must be certified nursing assistants, or have successfully completed a nursing assistant training program within the last 24 months.
Once I'm enrolled, how long will the training take?
The workshop is a total of 16 hours. The course is taught on-campus and may conducted in four 4-hour sessions, or two 8-hour sessions. Please see the Student Services Center for an updated schedule.
Once I've completed the training program will I be certified?
No; however, students successfully completing the Nursing Rehab Technician Workshop will receive a Certificate of Completion from HHCI.
